unable to assign target=”_blank” to links in posts

    This problem occurs only when logged in as an author; the problem is not there when I’m logged in as admin.

    When I have a hyperlink in my post, it appears fine. But when I add “target=”_blank” to the hyperlink, in order to make it an external link, after I publish, the whole href statement goes away. So, for example, I’ll have:

    hi

    and it works. If i go into HTML mode and change it to:

    hi

    and update, it then changes to:

    hi

    Please help. Thank you!

    Bistro,

    I was wondering if you were ever able to figure something out on this. I have the exact same problem and it is killing me. I want my subscribers to be able to add links and images to their comments, but I don’t want them to leave my blog page.
