Unable to assign pages to users with a custom role

    Hello,

    We have discovered an issue where a user with a custom role cannot be assigned to be the author of an existing page. I have created a role where all capabilities are checked, created a new user with this role (and logged in as this user), then tried to reassign an existing page – no luck.

    We are trying to reassign using the author dropdown on both the quick edit and the Author box on the edit page.

    Is this a bug or is there something we need to do?
