WordPress SEO by Yoast
Unable to alter any of the fields in WordPress SEO (14 posts)

I am unable to adjust the fields in WordPress SEO on my pages/posts.

Focus keyword, title, meta-description: they all revert back to the old ones after I click "Update".

Any idea what could cause this?

I've opened a bug report in the project Github here https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/351

Can you try again with all other plugins disabled and using the default theme (Twenty Thirteen) ?

@kenneth: for me, this started after the upgrade to 3.7 indeed. Only way I found so far to regain access to those fields is to make a new post or page, duplicate everything from original post, and then save the new post (after altering the url for the original post).

No php errors or errors in the console.

As others said, change some metatag, click Update, page refreshes and the metatag has reverted back to its original state.

    WP 3.5.2
    Wordpress SEO v 1.4.18

EDIT: Just discovered that the metatag is actually being updated. When we view the source of the page on the frontend the metatag has changed. But the backend display still does not show the update.

I found this problem after updating to 3.7.1 and Yoast to 1.4.19.
I am using Master Theme from yoothemes.com and Widgetkit.

It's been odd -- I can save changes on some pages and not others. I just tried the suggested remedy of duplicating page content -- and on the new copy I was able to save the customized SEO title. Makes me wonder what's in the database for the page I couldn't alter.
