Unable to add/edit new posts or pages

    Hey, I’ve recently started a wordpress blog, and I’ve run into a problem. It’s all been working absolutely fine up until this morning, where suddenly I am unable to make any new posts (or pages, or edit any existing pages or posts). After pressing “publish” it simply returns me to the overview, with no sign of the new post (or recent edits, if I try that). I’ve disabled every single plugin, and tried switching themes back to the original wordpress theme, all to no avail. Can anybody help?

    (If it helps, I am able to connect to the site through ftp as normal, so there doesn’t seem to be a problem there.)

    Just to add: I’ve tried different browsers, clearing cache/history, different users, all with no success. It simply won’t let me add new posts, whilst changing other site things is fine (widgets, changing page code through the editor, etc.). It’s driving me crazy!

    I had that happen to me. I don’t know why it happen but if you have a backup of your database try to restore it. I got mine up and running.

    I have no backup to my database, is there another easy way to reset it? I’m not bothered about losing current posts, etc., as there’s really nothing much on there yet!

    Just tried uploading a full clean version of WordPress, but no change.

    When you uploaded a full clean version did you delete the database first. Then try to reinstall wordpress plus a new database.

    It turned out to be corruption on the database, caused most likely by a plug-in that I disabled afterwards (but too late it seems, the damage had already been done). I haven’t got access to the database myself, so had to go to my host.
