• When trying to: Add media files from your computer

    I get this message:
Unable to create directory /home/catalysta/www/en/wp-content/uploads/2009/09. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

I think it is a problem with my server setup. Possibly a permissions thing. I not sure where to start.

you are right . it is a problem of permissions.
Make sure to allow write/read rights to the upload folder.

Thanks for confirming my suspicion. I was trying to change some other settings in the WP admin dashboard. I ran into similar “writable” problems. I will be contacting my service provider next to see what is happening on their end.

This jogged my memory. A similar thing like this happened before. My provider called it an instability in the system and I had to reset my PW’s

The word from my IHS is that they are updating hardware and the problem will be fixed by the end of the day.

that is good news, however , If these problems occur so frequently , maybe a host change is due ? 🙂

Using WP 2.6.3…am unable to add images to my post. I click on the add image icon and a pop-up opens up. I click on the button to select an image from my computer and nothing happens – the browse window doesn’t come up. I tried using the ass url method to add my image but only the text command shows up, not the img. Would appreciate your help.
    Thanks,
