Unable to add featured images

    I am switching my blog from blogger to wordpress and have imported all my images. I used a image to wordpress plug in to move the images. All of the images are in my posts, but in order to choose an image for the featured image I have to upload them because they are not showing up in my gallery. The is quite cumbersome to do for 128 posts – does anyone know a better way than uploading every one individually (I don’t have all the original images anymore, I will have to download them from blogger first)??
    (I am using a child theme on Genesis)

    On possible way I can think of uploading all the images would be through FTP but that won’t store the links to the posts. Then you would have to search/replace all the old link with the new links from the database. Really messy, I know. 🙁

    That is what comes to mind for me.
