   If I try to manually add a category under "manage" "categories" "add new" nothing happens at all. If I try to do it while making a post, nothing happens.

   Error logs at my server are clean.

   I deactivated all plugins, and it still does this.

   Thanks, but I actually have no errors at all, either in the admin area or in my error logs.

   Write a new Post, choose a Category and Publish.

   hi french, I had the same problem. no errors, just flatout nothing happening. But i tried adding the .htaccess file as suggested by Michaels link and it worked for me.
