• Hello. I have searched the forums but am unable to find a solution to my problem.

I run a 3-domain multisite network. Site A is the only one that currently contains WP content and is live. Sites B & C have been redirected to Site A.

In C-Panel, all 3 sites are there:
    fridayharbormarine.com
    fhyachts.com
    fridayharborboatrentals.com

But when i go to my Network Admin/Sites page, I see site A, but site B is showing as a subdomain. i.e.: http://www.fhyachts.fridayharbormarine.com

And site C isn’t there at all. I have tried to add fridayharborboatrentals.com to the network, but it will only allow me to do so if I make it a subdomain. I don’t want subdomains, I want separate domains under the network, sharing the same custom-built theme.

I can’t find anything called “domain mapping” in my dashboard, and I can’t figure out how to solve this. I should mention that I did not set up this network, and I’m not sure who did. It was done before I came into the project.

    Thanks.

  • Domain mapping is a plugin that must be installed and configured. Once that is done it is located under settings in the Super Admin network dashboard.

If the multisite was setup using sub domains you will not be able to change it.

You CAN change it, but we don’t recommend it unless you’re comfortable in the database.

You can map domains to subdomains, though, so just install the plugin and don’t worry about it.
