Maybe, you uploaded everything just as downloaded, and I’m realizing now, there might be a little confusion -I’m quite new at this plugin stuff, it’s my first-, you have to upload the nested folder, that is, when you unzip, upload the wp-live-css-editor/wp-live-css-editor folder.
Let me know if that was your issue, so I’ll fix it in the download.

Fixed, I’ve updated the plugin so the download is fine now, and in my 3.1 WP I could install from the plugin search and installer without problems. Hope it works for you and others now, please let me now !
I had to manually remove the current corrupted install, but was able to successfully download and activate. I’ll kick the tires on it and let you know if I have any further troubles.
