Ultimate Tag Warrior — A few questions

I’ve been using this awesome plugin for a few weeks now and I had a few questions that I can’t seem to find the answer to:

1) Is there any way to create tags with hypens or underscores in them? This would be especially usefully for multi-word tags (i.e. college football) but whenever I try to use “college-football” or “college_football” the plugin merely converts the symbols into a space.

2) This one is a bit of a stretch, but is there any way to create relationships between tags like categories/subcategories? For example, if I use the tag “baseball” it’ll automatically add a “sports” tag as well. Obviously, it wouldn’t add “baseball” if I used “sports” though.
