    Hi bluepawn,

Sorry to hear this plug-in hasn’t worked out for you. But I’m confused, the plug-in settings are available in Settings > Event Organiser, which allow to configure permissions, permalinks, disable template handling, determine if ‘past events’ are shown etc.

Anything which cannot be done in the plug-in settings can be set by copying the default templates (you can find them in event-organiser/templates) into your theme an editing them there.

I realize not all themes work well with the plug-in ‘out of the box’, or do quite what you want it to, so I’ve made it very easy to edit the the templates and provide documentation.

There are also shortcodes (with template tags and attributes supported) which generally work well with any theme.

To be clear, this is all available in the free version.

there’s no button to click to get the full calendar

There’s a shortcode for the fullCalendar. Simply add that into a page, and link to it from your elsewhere (widgets / page & post content / menu).

Sorry, I have to chime in here, 2 stars for this amazing plugin is insulting. The styling is as it should be – the html largely inherits the css from the theme, so your headings, paragraphs etc etc all look consistent across your site.

If the event index and event single pages look awful, I would guess your site looks awful too as that’s where the styles are inherited from.

What’s worse is when plugins force arbitrary styles on you that you then need to undo or override with !important css declarations.

In short – out of the box it should largely fit in with your theme. If you need to modify the styling, it’s pretty much a blank canvas to work with. How it should be.
