• I am in the process of transferring a shopping cart from Drupal using Ubercart to WP using WooCommerce.
I will be migrating all the data through a company called cart2cart.
As the original cart has been up for a few years, are there any SEO concerns I should be aware of after migrating the site over.
I am mostly concerned with my category URL’s, as I have seen those coming up in search results.

    Any input appreciated

  • Hi did you successfully transfer an ubercart store to woocommerce?

How did you do it? How much time/money did it take? Were you able to import each full product with photo, description, SKU, price, weight etc?

Thanks for any info. I’m looking to move my drupal/ubercart site with about 1000 products over to WP as I’m not a coder and so very tired of “learning” drupal for the past 3 years~

    Cheers!

The site transfere from Ubercart to Woocommerce went very well. I ended up using cart2cart and I did the transfere. Once the two sites were set up to make the transfere as per there instructions it was easy. I transfered 100 products over 2000 customers and over 2500 transactions. Everything transfered over including SKU, description weight etc The only issue I had was with some of the images. They could have done it for me, but so many needed updating anyway, I decided to manually update once the transfere had been made.

I also was able to transfere a second time a few weeks later when I launched the new site and wanted to make sure I had all the latest customers, sales etc.

Cost was around $160.00 which was a deal in comparison to the man ours it would take to manually transfere the info over. If you go to the cart2cart website it will calculate and give you an estimate based on how many products customers etc.

Woo commerce is great, free but expect to spend some cash adding in the plugins you will need to really get the most out of it.

    Good luck with it all!

    Phil,

Does your woocommerce checkout work in IE browsers? I was hoping to switch one of our sites from Drupal/Ubercart to WooCommerce, but we are having an issue with another woocommerce site we own that freezes at the checkout for IE browsers. Not good at all for business and we cannot find a solution anywhere.
