   Hi everyone,
   this is my official Hello to the WordPress world. I hope it a friendly one. lol. I am new to all things web. I need to build as site based on a Template-monster wordpress template I bought.
   They said it would be simple and easy. I got a feeling they were wrong.

   I need to change the backgound image and other images to start. I have no idea how to do that.

   also... just basic stuff like adding a picture galleries... and layout and.. menus and what now.

   were would be the best place to start?? there is just so much out there. I need to do this quickly so if anyone could help me out by telling where to find step by step, extremely expanitory info on how to do this. I am a complete idiot and have no idea what have this stuff even means. lol. My site is http://www.lamusicaesmiarma.com
   I want to start changing the demo images. hellp.

   Ummm.. I didn't mean to scare everyone off. There are like a thousand other posts, except mine.
   I really need some help. Once I learn this stuff I assure you that I will giveback to the form.

   Am I missing something?

   Start with a simpler theme and setup. WordPress is easy if you don't try to learn it all at once. There are alot of people out there who make a living from designing and building WordPress sites, getting help in this arena is going to be tough.

   I suggest looking through your CSS files under Appearance->Editor->StyleSheet

   You should be able to change the background there. Some of the store bought themes are actually tougher to use than the free ones.

   Also I suggest installing "minimum essential wordpress plugins". If this is more than just a hobby.

   Thanks a lot pkenjora. Really appreciate it. I have to use this template and I know it is going to be a log road.

   I was more looking for links and places to find ways to start learning all this....
