   I just imported my typepad posts into wordpress. Oddly, the photos show up on the edit page, but, even when I re-save, they don't show up on the blog. They do have the old typepad urls. Like:

   <img class="at-xid-6a00d83451b8b869e20105365adca1970b" style="margin: 0px 5px 5px 0px;" title="IMG_5449" src="http://abroadincostarica.typepad.com/.a/6a00d83451b8b869e20105365adca1970b-320pi" alt="IMG_5449" />

   Someone suggested doing a search and replace on the old urls - I can do that on the text file and re-upload all the posts. But what do I use for the new url to replace the old one?

   Can I really just replace the old url and this will upload the photos to wordpress? That would be thrilling - I was thinking I'd have to reload all the photos from 527 posts...

   Thanks for your help.

   No. You need to somehow download the images from typepad, upload them to your new site, and then do a search and replace of the old image URL with the new one.

   Try a Google search for: export typepad images

   Thanks - that got me started down a whole new path. Thought this was going to be simple but au contraire! But typepad is a mess so I'm determined to get outta there.
