    Hi All,

My blog, http://www.featuredcontentonline.com isn't ranking well. I used the seo workers page tool and noticed that lots of keywords are coming from my sidebar, especially the links to related articles.

Is there anyway to have google not look at the sidebar?

Also, I published some new content about a week ago but it still hasn't been indexed, even though I've linked it on some popular sites (pinterest, twitter etc..) does anyone have any idea why this might be happening? I uploaded a new sitemap but it had no effect.

Thanks in advance for your help,

    Norm

Oh, here's the post I made about 4 days ago...

    http://www.featuredcontentonline.com/barbecue-buy-choosing-first-bbq-smoker/

    still not indexed.

On a related note, headspace2 doesn't appear to be making any changes to what description is displayed in the google SERPS.

It looks like my missing posts have finally been indexed, took way longer than I'm used to.

I'd still like to exclude the sidebar from being indexed, any help with this would be appreciated.

nope, there is no way to block SE indexing your sidebar. But try to look at your widget title headings ( it's H1, H2, H3, etc). The best is H3 (usually - based on your theme layout).

except you have high traffic site then your site will be displayed by Google.

like this site (wordpress.org), every new posts will be available on google search within 15 minutes or less.

it may take upto a week or more. But submit your post into social networks will help in SEO, it's about viral aspect (Google penguin like this).
