• Hi everyone, is it possible to have two main pages for a blog?

I know that blogs are designed to have a single automatically-update front page, but if I want to co-own a blog with a friend, is there some way to have a homepage for each of us without having to create two blogs?

Another quick question: Say I want to create a page specifically to post my writing, and that includes some stories with chapters. How exactly would I do this? I would update it pretty regularly, but it wouldn’t have anything to do directly with whatever I’m blogging about…

Easiest way is to use categories – one for Bert, one for Ernie and one for the chaptered stories. Then use the Category page as the front page for each section.

Or go a step further and set up WordPress as multi-user to create three separate blogs on a single installation.

    Thanks for the reply!

So, you’re saying to not have a main page, but three, which are actually category pages? Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought blogs HAD to have at least one all-posts page. As in, it’s impossible to get rid of that page.

Also, would those category-pages automatically update?

Sorry I’m so noob, by the way…

when you make a post and attach it to the relevant category you take away from posting on the, ALL-POSTS page, because you specified you want it attached to the specific category. youll need to use Pages Link To, plugin, to make a “Page” link to the category. when you Post, you select the category you want to post to, “Your Friends Category..”
