    FYI: Conflicts with other plugins.

Trying to login to my own admin account using two-factor auth gives me this page:

Warning: Missing argument 2 for login_security_solution::wp_login() in /home/blog/public_html/wp-content/plugins/login-security-solution/login-security-solution.php on line 850

Warning: Missing argument 2 for WSAL_Sensors_LogInOut::EventLogin() in /home/blog/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/classes/Sensors/LogInOut.php on line 11

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/blog/public_html/wp-content/plugins/login-security-solution/login-security-solution.php:850) in /home/blog/public_html/el/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 896

I never had any problem with login security solution plugin, nor with wp security audit plugin, until immediately after installing wp-simple-firewall plugin. In all instances of using two-factor login auth via email, every time I click on the link I get this error page and have to use FTP to turn off the firewall. I have duplicated this error over a dozen times.

Just to be clear: the conflict is with the two-factor authentication link via email. It seems the authentication-related features of the conflicting plugin are grabbing some data needed by the other. The rest is Greek.

    What do you think?

  • I’m not the author of the plugin, but see if the previous version before 3.0.0 works:

    Last stable version before 3.0.0:
    http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/wp-simple-firewall.2.6.6.zip

I’m also having an issue with version 3.0.0 and the login protection options but I haven’t been able to figure out the root of the problem yet.

I’ll take a look into this today and see if I can get to the bottom of it. Sorry for the trouble – v3 had big changes in there and I think a few bugs may have gone through. I should have a new release in a bit …

Thanks for your patience and for reporting these.
    Paul.

Just to update, I have a fix for this ready and I’ll release in a bit.

@mickey, what was the problem you were having?

I can’t seem to log in and I’m getting this message:

Login Cooldown in effect. You must wait 5 seconds before attempting to login again.

Also, when I enable the Login Protect Logging nothing happens. I have to delete the plugin and reinstall 2.6.6

Not sure what else to look for.

Forgot to mention. It does the same with version 3.1.0

Hmmm that’s not good. So effectively the login cooldown remains in place permanently?

Did you try the “forceOff” to turn the plugin functions off to let you login?

Sorry for the trouble with this. I’ll look more closely into the login cooldown code and see what I can see.

    Thanks,
    Paul.

Latest update seems to work. But no, the “forceOff” file creation did not work with either 3.0.0 or 3.1.0, as I had to manually delete the contents and replace them with version 2.6.6

But everything seems to be working correctly now, as far as I can tell.

    Thanks for fixing it.

Thanks for letting me know it’s working for you now. Sorry for the trouble and I appreciate you sticking with it while I got it sorted.

I’m still very curious as to why forceOff wasn’t working in your case… I can’t replicate that at all.

    Thanks again!
    Paul.
