    Hi Paul.

I just installed your plugin on a new site and after i clicked the “activate the 2-factor authentication” option it locked me out and it tells me I will receive an email to authenticate. The problem is that I never receive that email. I had to delete the plugin to get access to the site again. I then checked the system email to confirm is correct and it is, so I figure I would install the plugin again and deactivate this option, however once I download it again it locks me out again. Apparently is accessing a cached version of the plugin settings.

How can I delete the cached settings or what should I do?

If you’re not receiving emails, then your WordPress email isn’t working as it should, or it’s getting filtered into spam. Ensure that you’re checking the email address that’s associated with that user, and not the blog admin email address.

To ensure the 2-factor is turned off when you activate the plugin again, please use this plugin option:

This wouldn’t be the first time this has happened where emails don’t get sent by a host, and there’s actually an option in there to by-pass 2-factor if the email doesn’t get sent. But I’d really check to see that the email isn’t being missed or filtered into a folder somewhere – it simply uses WordPress mail function.

Let me know how you get on.

Thanks Paul. I was expecting that email to the admin email, not my user email. So I just changed my user email and now I got the link. Thanks
