I have two different types of posts that I want to be formatted differently. Now they all get formatted alike. For example, can I format posts to different categories differently? Thanks.

Like, you pull up a post under a certain category and you want that information to have a different layout than other posts from different categories. If I'm guessing correctly, you might need to look into template hierarchy.
