• I’d like to have a separately designed landing index page to welcome visitors to my site. Then, when the user passes through the welcome page, they’ll go to my WordPress blog (a different design from the landing page). I’d like the people on the WordPress blog, when clicking “Home” be able to see the WordPress blog homepage, NOT the welcome landing page.

Is this possible? If so, how?

  • That would be fairly easy, you can install your blog in a subfolder (like website.net/blog). Greet the visitors on website.net/index.html and have index.html contain a link to website.net/blog, how about it ? You’ll need to know how to code an html page, or search for an html template (gazillions of them are available on the internet).

If you want the site.net/index.html page to be still using the wordpress blog’s theme and functions, however, that’s another issue and I have no idea how to do it. A friend has it done on paumadou.com, but, beat me, I don’t know how she coded it (if truth be told, I never asked or really wondered either ^^).
