I am developing a Web site for our Boy Scout Troop in WordPress. I was trying to have two areas for blogs - one on a public home page and the other behind security using "Absolute Privacy". Also trying to feed the blog titles the home page and to the pimary login page for security but can't seem to separate - even tried "Blog in Blog" plugin. Any advice?

Setup two separate installations of WordPress on the same server, for example one in '/public' and one in '/private'.
On the private one use 'Absolute Privacy'. You can feed the public titles using the RSS widget on the private one.
That won't make them one blog, and clicking a public link on the private one will send the user to the public side. But that ought to be easier to setup than having one install like that.
