I've earlier tried the plugin "Twitter for WordPress" for my blog, but it slowed down the load of my website. Do you have any recommendation for a plugin?

Not sure exactly what you are looking for...but, did you look at Alex King's Twitter Tools?

Posted 2 years ago #What I need is a plugin which can show my twitter-messages. The earlier plugin slowed my page down, as it depended on the Twitter-servers performance. I will give Twitter-tools a try.
