I am using Twitter Tools, and a few weeks ago, it stopped doing weekly updates. I tested to see if individual tweets can be turned into blog posts, and that works, so the connection to Twitter is working. But the digests aren't. I'm using 2.0. Any suggestions?

That's very odd. I do a weekly (Sunday) update and it works just fine.
Did you try the Reset Digest button?

Assuming all your blogs are on the same server/host/isp, have they made any upgrades or noted anything funky with cron?

Posted 2 years ago #It's not the host. I tried using Twitter Digest, and it posted correctly. Unfortunately, that plugin has one option: Post every day. I don't really want that. But it's better than Twitter Tools, which is basically useless. I can't believe how many bizarre bug reports are out there. Lost of people have simply given up on it.

It's got to be a conflict with something else, since I've got it running without any issues and a lot of people aren't having this issue. :/

Posted 2 years ago #So, I was able to get the tools working on three other blogs on my server. But not on my main blog. Even after I turned off every other plugin, it doesn't work. I also deleted DB and reinstalled the tools. Still, nothing happens. It's bizarre.

I wonder if it has to do with Twitter's spaztic API recently...

Posted 2 years ago #I am running into the same issue. I am running WordPress 2.8.4.
It is not a chron issue - working properly for other plugins.
The tweets are being captured by the database - it is not the Twitter API.
Have tried resetting the digest, reset tweet checking, updating the tweets, etc. Also tried deactivating the Thesis Theme, eliminating all plugins except Twitter Tools, reinstalled Twitter Tools.
All indications are that there is some form of bug within Twitter Tools impacting the Weekly Digest functionality.

Posted 2 years ago #I've got the same issue, I guess. It used to work just fine but all of a sudden between to posts within half an hour it didn't. First post got posted, second did not. I figured it had to do something with me posting two posts short after one another, but twitter tools did not recover since then. I checked all settings but they are fine. I guess I can rule out conflicts with other plugins as I did not install any updates or new plugins between the two mentioned posts.

This seems to be a pretty sporadic issue and given how any Twitter app (like Seesmic or Twhirl etc) has been having similar issues, I think it's Twitter and not the plugin in this case. I've used other plugins and I get the same, really irregular, results.
