   It looks to me like the Twitter Tools plugin has been abandoned.

   According to the repository there has only been one update in the past 6 months and the authors are unreachable.

   Has this project been abandoned?

   the last updated date may be incorrect. Why don't you try emailing the author of the plugin?

   The last updated date appears to be correct.

   As per the other thread, I have tried to contact the authors, without success.

   How long is a chance? I first alerted them (directly by email) to the problem 3 months ago after I posted here about the problem here.

   I've now registered on their forums and will cross post my concerns there.
