   When will Jetpack be updated to include the new Twitter short code embed feature?

   Short code?

   You mean pasting in the Tweet URL and having it display an embedded tweet like we can do for YouTube?

   That should actually be in the next version of WP core.

   Yes, that's exactly what I mean.

   Twitter posted this on their blog recently:

   https://dev.twitter.com/blog/tweets-and-buttons

   It specifically says Jetpack users will get the functionality on the next update.

   Just wondering when that will happen?

   That should actually be in the next version of WP core. Version 3.4
