   Hi,
   Twitter.com is down, as such twitter-tools cannot connect and my website is running really slow... even alex kings website has this error on it ...
   Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to twitter.com:80 (Connection timed out) in /home/alexking/public_html/wp/wp-includes/class-snoopy.php on line 1150
   Is it possible to get twitter-tools to "sleep" for an hour or so to allow the issue to get resolved?

   eww, thats an ugly error. pathinfo and all. meh.

   Not only that, but Twitter seems to be down a lot.

   I noticed the same slowdown on my website this week, and traced it to the Twitter Tools plug-in - once I disabled it, the site was back up to speed. I think Twitter was still up (I never saw the fsockopen error), but responding slow.

   A sleep or throttle functionality would be great!
