    I’m using the Mystique theme at http://www.logicbomb.in/pritin

    This is what I did…
    1. Installed the theme.
    2. Disabled the twitter button from User CSS -> Hide Twitter button
    3. Upgraded the theme

    Now I want to get the twitter button back. How can I get about doing this?
    Thanks!

  • Go back to User CSS and look to see what code might be hiding the Twitter button. If you can see anything that you did originally to hide the Twitter button, then undo that. However, looking through your CSS I can’t see anything that would cause the two Twitter elements that are referenced (‘block’ and ‘share this’) not to display. Are there any theme settings or equivalent you can change?

    Hey bsutcliffe,
    My ‘User CSS’ textbox in Mystique Settings, is actually empty. When I click on “Hide twitter button”, the following is the only text in “User CSS”

    /* Hide Twitter button */
    #header a.twitter {display:none;}

    Could it be that I have to replace ‘none’ with something else?

    Try replacing none with block or compact.

    press reset to defaults 😉

    Hey,

    @bsutcliffe : I tried both. Doesn’t seem to help.
    @laranz : My “User CSS” block is already empty (before pressing Reset to Defaults). I have tried “Reset to Defaults”, and it doesn’t help :/

    THank you for your efforts… What do I do now?

    -Pritin

    – add a twitter widget
    – fill out the id
    – refresh your site homepage
    – move the widget to the inactive area

    Right from the master himself!
    I had read of this method as a solution to changing the twitter username from the default username that came with the theme. It never struck me to try it out…
    Thanks a lot everyone! 😀

    Hey Pritin, what more was needed to confiture the twitter button? I’m trying to get mine up and running.

    anyone thought of a facebook one as well?

    ha, neverimd the twitter one, i got it… there were two twitter widgets, and the second one worked.

    perhaps i’ll paly with the code and see if I can copy the twitter/RSS to see if the a facebook one can be cooked up.

    You can also remove the following line from style.css:

    #header a.twitter{background:transparent url(images/nav-icons.png) no-repeat left top;}
