Hello – I’m developing a child theme using TwentyTwelve (first time using this theme as a parent), and for some reason I’m having a very hard time changing the navigation bar height.

I’ve edited .menu-navigation and “.main-navigation li a” to adjust the height, and saw the results reflected in a change in the border and background color. However, the navigation text hasn’t budged, and is floating BELOW the altered height, overlapping the content area. The background and borders are changing to reflect my alteration, but the text is staying in a fixed position and therefore has escaped my smaller navigation bar.

Am I missing a class that needs to be changed? I’ve tried adjusting the height on every .menu-navigation area I can find, and still the text stays put.

    Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Of course, as soon as I break down and ask for help, I go back and see the answer clearly.

For anyone else who may encounter this problem, I had forgotten to adjust the “line-height” of “.main-navigation li a” to match the new div size.

All is well now. Thanks! 🙂
