    Hello all,

I am new to wordpress and at the moment I am using the TwentyThirteen template.

I am only using 1 widget at the bottom of the page but it is left aligned. I would like it to appear in the centre of the bar at the bottom of the page. Is this possible? Please help.

Do not edit the Twenty Thirteen theme. It is the current default WordPress theme and having access to an original, unedited, copy of the theme is vital in many situations. First create a child theme for your changes. Or install a custom CSS plugin.

    Hello Esmi,

Thanks for the advice. So I now have a child theme installed and it looks the same as the original one. I still need to figure out how to centre the 1 widget at the bottom of the bar. Do you know how I can do that? Thanks in advance.

Also, how do I make the centre column of the page wider?

Re-upload a fresh, unpacked, copy of the Twenty Thirteen folder to wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
