[Twentyeleven] Problem with replacing header text background with image (3 posts)

    Hi
    I've successfully managed to replace the header text field on my website with an image, but I can't seem to get rid of a black line that runs across the top of it. What I'm aiming for is for the header text field image to blend in with the page's background image.
    You can check out what I mean if you take a look at the site here
    (Obviously there are lots of other things to fix on the site but I've got a bee in my bonnet about this one!)
    I've cropped and re-cropped the image several times to try to fix the problem, but it seems like maybe there is a border there pushing it down. I'm very new to WordPress, CSS and PHP and I don't know how to approach the problem.
    I am using a child theme of twentyeleven and replaced the header text background with the image with the following code in my style.css:

    #branding {
    	background: #0A0D05 url('http://www.thetillerandthetide.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/album-cover-panel-nero.png') no-repeat;
    	background-size: contain;
    }

    @media (max-width: 800px) {
    	#branding hgroup {
    		height: 120px;
    	}
    }

    @media (max-width: 650px) {›
    	#branding hgroup {
    		height: 90px;
    	}
    }

    @media (max-width: 480px) {
    	#branding hgroup {
    		height: 60px;
    	}
    	#branding #s {
    		display: none;
    	}
    }

    I've also tried modifying the code in this part of the parent css, thinking that 'border top: 2px' might be the offending element, and changing its value to zero, but to no avail:

    #branding {
    	border-top: 2px solid #bbb;
    	padding-bottom: 10px;
    	position: relative;
    	z-index: 9999;
    }

    Any advice would be very welcome.
    Cheers

    Hi, I'm totally new to this too and also struggling with a similar problem which is how I come to be reading your post. If I look at your image using "Firebug" I can see that you have a 2px top border in your "dark.css" file - Don't know if that's any help! Here's my problem around my main logo http://www.customrubberstamp.co.uk.

    Cheers
