Twentyeleven: box "Continue reading" in showcase (featured post) to text link

Hey everybody,

I’d like to change something in the featured post slider in the showcase template of the twentyeleven theme. If a featured post has no featured image, the first lines of the post are displayed in the slider, followed by a regular text-link “Continue reading”.

If the post has a small image though, both the image and the text snippet appear. Now the “continue reading” link is moved to a dark box in the bottom left corner of the featured post slider. How can I have just a regular text-link at the end of the post snippet also in this case?

Btw: I’m using a child-theme.
