[resolved] Twenty Twelve Theme & Post Format Styles (7 posts)

I'm not sure if this is the right place, but hopefully you can help. I'm using the Twenty Twelve theme on my blog. I've modified the background and the colours, but that's all. I noticed that most of the styling for post formats in the theme don't match what is displayed in the demo version of the blog. Can anyone think why this might be the case?

I've deleted almost all of my other themes from the server just to make sure there's no CSS cascading issues that might be getting in the way, but beyond that, I'm stumped. Thanks in advance for the help.

Try disabling plugins to find whether any are responsible.
Can you link an example of the issue, with a link to the demo page relevant?

Hi Andrew, thanks for writing back. I'll try disabling plugins. The demo page is here: http://twentytwelvedemo.wordpress.com/blog/

You can see that the post type for quotes has a different style than for regular text posts.

Yes I see this, how are you setting quotes in your theme?

On my theme, they just show up as plain text, without the shaded background.

Which bit of the text is supposed to be the quote, and are you using the blockquote button when writing the quote?

The whole block of text is the quote...and I feel like a complete idiot, because I didn't realize I had to use the blockquote button to get the post types to display differently. Holy crow, am I ever embarrassed.

Thanks, Andrew. I'll slink away now.
