[resolved] Twenty Twelve on IE 11 Checkout page problem (5 posts)

    I am using Twenty Twelve because it suits my needs for its layout and it is responsive. Using Woocommerce I am flying alone very well until in testing I see that in IE 11 the validation message for credit card input does not appear. The page scrolls up to the top but no message. The actual message is displayed in plain text in the upper left corner barely visible. I have created a child theme to make all of my style changes but have no idea how to approach this one.

    Just wondering if anyone out there has successfully handled compatibility problems with IE11. Twenty Thirteen handles the problem but that theme is not responsive and does not accommodate a sidebar.

    that theme is not responsive

    Yes it is. It was built from the ground up as a responsive theme. Perhaps you need to consult Woocommerce's developers about this?

    Can't remember where I read that Twenty Thirteen was not responsive but I will not question you. So yes I will consult Woocommerce about this, thanks.

    Found the solution being microsoft IE 10 & 11 breaks ajax so I had to emulate IE 9.

    Place this in the head section of header.php of the theme.

    <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE9" >
