Twenty Twelve news page / secondary widget issue

    Hi there,

    I am developing a site using the Twenty Twelve theme. I have several static pages where I have created my footer content in the secondary widget area. I have one news page which uses the default template for posts and my footer content isn’t showing as I believe the secondary widget area only works on static pages.

    Does anyone know how to get my footer content to appear on my news page? I wondered if I could call the secondary widget to appear from index.php?
