Twenty Twelve nav bar spacing (6 posts)

My site is trinitywest.lifeinthebush.com, I really want to space the nave bar out so that it automatically spreads the pages across the bar, but I have no idea how to do that.

I'm using a child theme of twenty twelve.

    Thanks

I am not certain, but I think this Plugin might help you do that:

In my own experience, you can place its shortcode on an empty page that has no parent, then put the Theme My Login widget in a SideBar, then go back and use its empty page as the parent for the others you want spread across your nav bar.

Thanks, but I can't see quite how that will do what I want it too, I just want the nav bar spaced equally across the page.

I think this is only feasible in JavaScript. You can do it with CSS but it'll be manual, so every time the navigation items are renamed, removed/ added, the spacing would need to be modified accordingly.

I haven't come across a plugin that provides this in WordPress.org, but I'll look out for it.

If you have a minute, take a look at my site and just hover over "LOG IN" in the navigation bar for a moment. I do not have things set like you are wanting them, but I could easily make a couple of clicks at my Dashboard and turn that drop-down menu into the row of buttons you are looking for...and that plugin I mentioned will do that if you can accept having the same pages available in a vertical menu over in a sidebar widget like I do.

I've managed to space them as desired using CSS if I'm using Chrome, but in Safari and on iPad they now stretch across two lines.

Is there no simple way to do this.

leejosepho, that plugin isn't quite what I need, but thanks.
