Twenty Ten custom menu drop down (7 posts)

    Hello all!

I have been searching through the forums for a while and I have not been able to find the answer to my question:

I am using the Twenty Ten theme and have created a custom menu for use in the Sidebar. The problem I have with this is that I have sub menus but they do not appear in a dropdown list underneath their parent. They just appear as a list.

If anyone could advise me on how to change this, I would deeply appreciate it. Thank you!

In the menu screen, drag your submenu into the parent.

I know I can drag submenus to their parents in the menu screen, that's not what I am having a problem with. The problem is that they are displayed as a list and I would like them to appear as a drop down.

Right now you see in the sidebar:
    Parent Page

    • Submenu 1
    • Submenu 2
    • Submenu 3

    etc.

I want it to show only the Parent link and on hover, reveal the submenu items just like it does in the top navigation.

A plugin like this is probably the easiest way.

I've installed this, but it doesn't seem to be working. I'm not entirely sure what to do with this plugin.

Let me add to this, I see what it does. This plugin will only show the child page once the parent is clicked. This is not what I am looking for. I need the sub pages to be visible when a visitor hovers their mouse over the parent page.

    Maybe one of these, http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=menu+widget&sort=

The "hover" normally requires javascript so check the jquery ones.

If none of these work for you a wider search for javascript menu widget might help.

Without the plug-in you will need some javascript to add to a text widget.
