• I am trying to set up a child theme for twenty fourteen. I’ve successfully set them up twice before, but for some reason this time the formatting is lost.
    Here is the code for the style.css file:

    /*
    Theme Name: Twenty Fourteen Child
    URI: http://worldpeacesolutions.net/
    Description: Child theme for Twenty Fourteen
    Author: Andrew Lawson Kerr
    Author URI: http://worldpeacesolutions.net/
    Template: twentyfourteen
    Version: 1.0
    */
    @import url("../twentyfourteen/style.css");

    This file was uploaded to public_html/worldpeacesolutions/wp-content/themes/twentyfourteen-child folder
    Web site: worldpeacesolutions.net
    Formatting of newly installed twenty fourteen theme is fine, then it is lost on switching to the child theme.
    This should be easy, but I can’t trace the problem.

    I’ve poked around a bit and the style.css file mentioned above is also located at .www/worldpeacesolutions/wp-content/themes/twentyfourteen-child.

    I’m wondering if the file location (or location in two places) has something to do with this issue.
