    Hows it everyone? I am kind of very new to wordpress. I am having a problem with wordpress creating extra images when i upload using the media library or any other upload option via wordpress. i have read numerous forums concerning the issue but non that resolves the problem. most forums suggest setting all values in the Settings>>Media>>Images options to 0 which i have done but two extra images are still being created. i created a child theme for the twenty eleven theme i am using , i also have a custom header with the following css applied:
    #branding img {
    height: 110px;
    margin-bottom: 0px;
    width: 30%;
    }
    Unfortunately i can not provide you with a link to the website i am building because i am using a localhost serve on my desktop. The website will have various images uploaded to it and i feel that these extra images being created will pose a problem as it will just be trash and i will not use them thereby taking up extra safe on the host server once launched. from what i have read these images are created by the header.php, i am not certain if that;s true but if so i would like to know how to sort this out either by removing a specific code from a file or adding one.

    Thank you for your help
