    Hi All,

I've been doing loads of reading on WordPress and have created a child them and have been tweaking the style.css, header.css and function.css but I;ve stumbled across an issue that I can't figure out.

I want to remove the rotating header images and replace them with a background image that repeats hoziontally (the jagged grey image at the top of the page). Eventually I would like to place text links over the top of this background image.

The site I am trying to modify is here: http://www.allsaintschurchwindsor.co.uk/ASnew/

And a visual of what I'm trying to create is here: http://www.allsaintschurchwindsor.co.uk/ASnew//wp-content/themes/twentyeleven/images/AllSaints.png

I'd be very grateful for any help on this.

Ihave given up with the repeating background image. I'd simply like to replace the existing image with my jagged grey image. I've tried uploading in the wordpress interface but I get error messages saying wordpress cannot write to a particular folder so I'm looking for a code solution if there is one. Thanks in advance.

I have found a solution to this. I've commented out the loading of the header image in header.php and inserted a static image ref. instead. It's not pretty but it works. I've yet to test if it allows text over the top. The learning curve continues.
