    Hi,

I am using the Twenty Eleven theme and really like it - thank you for giving it to us. I was hoping to be able to enlarge the post image size. I embedded from my photography site with HTML code, if I change themes it works correctly, however I really love this theme and would like to stay with it. Could anyone help me understand where this is controlled and where to change it please?

    Site for reference - http://www.photoitsu.com/

    thank you in advanced.

In Twenty-Eleven, the post image is only going to be as big as the width of the post (more accurately, 97.5% of the width of the post, as shown in the style.css file line 854).

So, to change the image size, you can change the width of the post using CSS.

In the style.css file, line 112, comment out this declaration:

    width: 68.9%

Hi Naomi, Thank you for the reply :)

I did that, however it did not work for me

Or is this something that I have to run to "refresh" the change? I thought that saving the file alone would push the change immediately.

Actually, I'm showing on this page http://www.photoitsu.com/?p=430 that it did work. Try refreshing the page - the CSS is probably cached.

Ahhh I see that now, it does that for the direct post, but not the main page - anyway to adjust that?

Thank you again for your help Naomi!

Of course. You'd have to change the width of the whole page, though, as you have a sidebar. That's on line 74 of style.css. Check out this video on how to use Firebug to investigate and change these things on your own.
