    hello,
    I am new to wordpress and don't know code/css/html. I am sort of trying to learn as I go, and I was wondering how to remove the border around the header on my site. I have the theme extension for twenty eleven, which is the theme I use, and I uploaded my own header, I want just a clean look but there is a light gray box or shadow around the header that I don't see how to remove.

    If someone could help me to figure out how to remove this. Please keep in mind that I don't know code. I wouldn't know where to put css code so if I need to do that, if you could let me know where to put it in as well I would really appreciate it.

    Also, I know sometimes respondents can be a bit harsh, so please, no responses from people who just want to vent frustration about people who don't know code.

    Thanks so much for any help you can provide!

    Have you made a child theme for twenty eleven? If not, I highly recommend that you do.

    Here are the instructions:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes

    Basically, all you have to do is make a directory in your themes folder, and add a file called "style.css that has the block of text as stated on the instructions page.

    Then, in your style.css for your child theme, add the following:

    #branding {border-top: 0px solid #BBBBBB; }
    #access {box-shadow: none; }
