    Folk I know this is an age old topic, but one for which several different solutions are circulating. Each solution seems to have glitches associated to them.

    I using the code below. This is one that @Digital Raindrops suggested and thought I understood (I am a beginner).

    I loaded to my child theme and saved it but nothing happens. I should be able to see the new dimensions (1000x100px) on the dashboard, nothing. I uploaded a 1000x100px image but it gets stretched to the original 1000x288px.

    Here is a linnk to my site: http://www.surbound.com/blog/

    @Digital Raindrops or other folks, could you help? Thanks.

  2. No need for any php, etc :)

    Install a Custom CSS plugin like http://wordpress.org/plugins/my-custom-css/.

    Add:

    #branding img {
    height: 100px;
    display: block;
    width: 100%;
    }

    That's it! See my dev demo of a 1000x100 header image in Twenty Eleven here.

    Patrick, this is too good to be true after all I went through!

    Would you point me to what other users have done with this plugin?

    Thank you very Much!!

  4. Your new header looks fabulous :)

    There's a lot you can do with CSS. The plugin just makes it easy to load with your theme. You can change colors, dimensions, backgrounds, fonts, etc.
