Twenty Eleven Child Theme Not Working! (3 posts)

    So, I have 2 websites and created a child theme for Twenty Eleven in both. In the first one it worked perfectly and in the other it isn't working at all, even though both child themes are identical. In the one that isn't working, what I get instead is a totally unstylized page when I preview or activate it. Among other things, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the theme several times in hopes of getting a fresh copy to work, but nothing has made a difference.

    I should state that the difference between these two websites is the one that works is newer while I am revamping an old website with the one that doesn't work. However, the Twenty Twelve child theme I tested on the old website is working just fine, just not the Twenty Eleven (which I really want). So I don't know if there is something corrupt in my Word Press installation and I need to completely reinstall it for this website or could it be something else. Any possible insight is appreciated!

    You've reinstalled a fresh, clean copy of 2011 on the site that's not working?

    I should have clarified that the actual Twenty Eleven theme is working fine. It's the child theme that isn't working correctly. It's as if the @import isn't working. Here is the beginning of the style.css code, so we can eliminate that problem.

    /*
    Theme Name: Twenty Eleven Child
    Theme URI:
    Description: Child theme for the Twenty Eleven theme
    Author: Hanna
    Author URI:
    Template: twentyeleven
    Version: 1.4
    */

    @import url("../twentyeleven/style.css");
