• I’ve removed the Twenty Eleven header image and added the code, per your instruction, to page.php and I still had no slide show, only an error. I then remeoved that code from page.php and added it to a custom page I created and again no slideshow, on this error: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in C:\Users\davidbeall\Instant WordPress\InstantWP_4.2\iwpserver\htdocs\wordpress\wp-content\themes\twentyeleven\pageofocposts.php on line 8

When I use the shortcode in a page as instructed, the slideshow appears but too low (it is beneath the menu and not in the header location like I want).

I feel like an idiot. What am I doing wrong?

It depends on what the rest of the code on that custom page looks like. I can take a look if you want to share the page on pastebin.com.
