tweaks and tips

Hello,

I am a frequent visitor here on the support forum, mostly for help with tweaks here and there.

I just want to list a few of the minor aesthetic changes I’m looking for. If anyone can help I’d greatly appreciate it.

I have a decent sense of CSS, my problem is mainly in knowing where to look (which files handle which operations).

Posts
—
display both categories and tags as well as full time-stamp (hour/day/month/year) and remove author

Pages
—
create a “page of posts” for every category and tag
(basically I want to be able to give a brief description of each category/tag that can be seen along-side, or above, the circles)

Widgets
—
remove main widget button, permanently display all widgets

Navigation
—
allow users to move back and forth between posts within a specific category/tag, as opposed to always going through the greater chronology.
(I realize this may be the most difficult task, any advice would be appreciated.)

With regard to setting up a page of posts, I understand that this is something of a standard wordpress procedure but, from what I can tell, spun handles this a little differently than other themes? I’d also like to enable comments for these pages of posts, but not sure about this either.
