my site currently publicly displays a profile of a contributor. what the theme does that is not desireable is publicly display all the info in the wp-admin > user menu = the email address.
how would one make this an option to display/not display email address.
is this done in wp files or theme file?

fixed this via the theme, not wp-admin. tweak was in author.php and single.php.
is there a current provision ( or one coming down the pike ) that permits a registered user to point to their gravatar/favicon to further expand their user profile?
