Tutorial on How to Edit edit.php?post_type=myposttype on save?

    In the post editing admin area where you see a list of posts (in this case a custom post type) how do you:

    A: Add custom editing options (located at top)
    B: “Catch” these changes when checked posts are saved via the $_POST or something?

    I just need a link to a tutorial or something – I cannot seem to find it.
