• For those interested in learning how to create their own WordPress themes, I’m happy to have finally finished up work on my new tutorial, updated for WordPress 2.1.

I’ve really appreciated all the help that the WordPress community has provided over the years and its my hope that this tutorial is able to be a blessing to someone and make their day go a bit easier as you guys have often done for me :).

  • Thank you so much for this tutorial, the way you break down and display what one needs to do was most helpful to me. Very much apppreciated.

You’re very welcome :)! Glad to hear it was able to help.

it looks like a good read, ive bookmarked it for after my exams, but i noticed that the image you link to gives a 404.

I’ve been looking at this off and on since posted this morning. This is a great tutorial and should get anyone headed in the right direction. Thanks for your efforts.

@epicalex: Thanks for the heads up. Link is fixed :). Since launching the tutorial this morning, I’ve redone my blog design a bit, but for the sake of the tutorial, I’ll leave the preview as is.

@samboll: Hey, as someone who’s benefited greatly from WordPress over the years, this is the very least I can do :). Thanks for your support. I’m looking forward to contributing more!
