I have been trying to replace the default WP commenting system because
1. I don’t like it, and
2. It attracts a ridiculous amount of spam.
I’ve tried a couple of different plug-ins, such as Facebook comments and Disqus, and find that these will do. However, spammers manage to still spam the WP comment system even though it’s not visible on the posts.
I’ve turned off comments for posts, but this also turns off the 3rd party comment plug-ins. Is there a way to turn of WP comments while keeping the plug-in comments available?
