Both of the “Before a comment appears” boxes are un-checked, so comments should be posted without moderation. But every test comment I post receives the “Your comment is awaiting moderation” message.
The only setting under comment moderation is:
Hold a comment in the queue if it contains [2] or more links.
There have been no links in my comments. The tests are very short. Ex. thanks or great post!
Is there something else I need to check?
This is a multisite install and I’m having this same problem on two different “sites” that I tested.
On the 1st one I tested, I was initially able to post with no problem, but the author tried to reply and her comments were held for moderation. This happened twice.
So then I tested it on another blog and both of my comments were held for moderation. I was not logged in to either of the blogs while commenting.
It should be here where you can change it > Dashboard – settings – discussion and then untick the “An administrator must always approve the comment” option. But beware spam may be posted on your blogs by doing this.
